A truck "paternoster" solves parking problems on motorways

In the future, up to 7 trucks will be able to park in the area of 2-3 truck parking spaces. The system of the “Trucktower” is similar to that of a high-bay warehouse in the broadest sense. Depending on the weight of the vehicle, the truck is parked at ground level, at a lower level or on a higher floor. When new vehicles arrive, the parking spaces are automatically assigned. The constellations are calculated by software, and the trucks are then moved by hydraulic support in an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly way. In the course of the pre-conceptualisation, tech-solute identified the technical challenges of the product idea and developed appropriate solution concepts, which were registered for patent by the customer. The customer benefited from a go-Inno grant when working with tech-solute, in that half of the project costs were covered by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
