Soft-closing mechanism for drawers

A manufacturer of high-quality kitchen drawer pull-outs used to purchase the “drawer soft-closing” and “push-to-open” subsystems as subassemblies. With the intention of producing both systems themselves in the future, tech-solute was commissioned with the development. On the basis of an analysis of three competitor products and the related industrial property rights, approaches to solutions for an alternative, inexpensively producible soft-closing system for drawers were developed. In a second step, tech-solute developed solutions for extending the soft-closing system to include a push-to-open function. In addition to the successful development, the project result even won a design award.
