High-Speed Composter
The successful proof of a process that enables rapid composting of kitchen waste within 48 hours made this customer contact tech-solute. The goal was ambitious: tech-solute had only six weeks to prove by means of a demonstrator that the process also works in the final, significantly smaller size. In addition to the development of the control electronics, solutions for a filling system, a sealing and filter concept, a concept for heat recovery and drive solutions for the composting and drying chamber had to be worked out. Creative solutions were also required for the shredding of kitchen waste and the ventilation/heating system. In order to achieve the very challenging goal in the limited time, improvisations were made and marketable components from other areas were used for unintended purposes, such as the radiator of a microcar as a heat exchanger.
