Electrically operated banquet trolleys are used for heated or cooled storage and transport of arranged plates in the catering industry. A manufacturer of such products commissioned tech-solute not only with the electronic examination according to the Low Voltage Directive, an EMC test and a splash water test, but also with the execution of a hazard analysis according to DIN EN ISO 12100-1. Based on a system analysis, the comparison with the hazard list from ISO 14121 and the preparation of the hazard levels for the identified hazards was carried out. After the assessment of the necessity, standard-compliant measures for hazard reduction were derived.
