Spot-/seam welding unit
In bank note production, or more precisely in the process step of producing the watermark, a multilayer, large-area copper screen applied to a water-permeable cylinder serves as a counterpart to a roller of a paper machine. On this sieve there are raised, so-called e-types and impressions which locally apply pressure to the still moist paper as it passes between the cylinder and the roller of the paper machine. The watermarks are formed from this during the subsequent drying process of the paper. The screen, which is still flat in production, must be cylindrically bent after welding on the e-types and embossing, spot welded with further layers and the long sides welded together in the form of a seam. tech-solute developed the machine for this project and also compiled the complete technical documentation.
