Device for chamfering pipe ends
The solution approach for a pipe chamfering device developed in a previous project by tech-solute was further developed during the detailing phase. This included the design and testing of the electric drive and the optimisation of the stiffness and weight of the loaded mechanical components. The selection of suitable concepts for the wiring and control of the electrical components (motor, battery, control) were further tasks in this development phase, as was the consideration of ergonomic aspects, such as the position of handles and switches. Solutions to requirements and wishes that had not been considered so far, such as the tool-free attachment of the system to the pipe and the producibility of internal and external chamfers with the same structure, were developed in a second step and combined into a system concept.
